Do you ever wonder what it would be like to find X that marks the spot, the ripple that may be your effect, the paradise in your everyday life?
Paradise can so often feel like the destination thats right around the corner yet the corner never seems to end. I find myself dreaming about the crystal clear warm waters and white fine sandy beaches that if I work hard enough and I am lucky enough ill get to visit once a year. Why cant I experience this sense of bliss and happiness in my everyday life?
I have come to discover that more than often Paradise can simply be an escape to my endless business and responsibilities of life. So with that said – Im on a relentless mission to discover “paradise” in my everyday life.
This past weekend, MY hubby and I jumped into a car and drove only a few more kilometres north. We were spoilt to a weekend away at Palm Dune Resort. Palm Dune is a hidden gem found in the little town of Blythdale. From the moment I arrived I was blown away by the exquisite garden resort which felt like was planted in the middle of a paradise jungle. The resort was our ultimate escape. From the very beginning the Palm Dune service was always with a smile and treated us above and beyond, so we decided to extend our stay and Palm Dune became our home for the next few nights.
More than often my husband and I ask each other where our next holiday will be. Don’t get me wrong – I’m ALL about the holiday adventure but I have more and more challenged myself to discover the everyday adventure that is life. Life is a gift but I have to question whether I wake up with that true understanding.
We forget how important the smallest action can be and taking a moment to stop and reflect during my time at Palm Dunes I realised life is ours for the taking…If we choose to take it. Telling a story of your life begins with identifying the adventure your already in. Then we can start creating new adventures with intentionality. Thats the rest of your paradise, your garden to tend to. You get to play a part in creating and enjoying whats already been given to us. How great is that!!!
“Can you not discern that TODAY is a new day…” Song of solomon.
The true measure of a gift is what you give up to get it, right? One apple isn’t much unless its all you have. Big dreams often start with small acts of courage. Sometimes waking up can and facing your day can be that act… Believe me, I know. but I cant help but hold onto the hope of whats on the other side of your act. Its fun when your on the receiving end of life but its even more fulfilling when were on the giving end. This is the ripple effect in motion. This is the X on the spot. This is the true adventure. This is paradise.
“Arise my darling, my beautiful one, come away with me…”
When we come to discover that life is your garden, your playground and you get to share it, tend to it and make it your everyday adventure then we truly experience the happiness.
YOU are paradise garden.
