October is here. Before you get too comfortable with the year coming to an end its time to challenge your creativity. How? Inktober.
Whether your good at drawing or not, Inktober is a creative challenge to draw something in ink every day for the month of October. Im not the best at drawing but I didn’t even know I enjoyed drawing till I actually tried. It wasnt long before I had a few decent brushes, some charcoal, and a giant drawing pad to call my own.
This is a really fun project by Jake Parker in 2009 as his personal challenge to help improve his skills. Thanks to him, people are participating world wide…and so this is my challenge to you.
- Make a drawing in ink.
- Post it online
- hashtag it with #inktober
- repeat every day of October
Note: you can do it consecutively, every other day or even once a week. Whatever you decide, this is about growing and enjoying the creative challenge of forming new positive habits in your world.
Thats it!!! Now go and make something beautiful. x B.H
Here are some of my designs so far:
// Cultivate: to grow and create.
// “we are all living in cages with the door open…” – George Lucas
// Freedom is found when we let go of who we were supposed to be and embrace who we really are.
// “everything your hands find to do, do with all your might.”
